A Little About Us
This incredible building was built in the 1940's to accommodate traveler's needing a place to rest while traveling on hwy 77 from Dallas to Austin. It was home of the Loop Hotel, Lasso Bar and Grill, Circle Pharmacy, K&G appliances, and several antique stores in this time. Over the years, it transformed to host The Happy Days Cafe, a shoe store, Ramer Remodeling, Tshirts Plus, and Unpainted Furniture. In 2010, there was a dip in the economy which led to several furniture distributors closing their doors. Bill and Jean Ramer needed to find something else to do. Ideas started formulating, always seemingly reverting back to how this building once had a few antique stores in it. The Ramer's daughter moved back to town, and helped their dream become a reality. In August 2011, LaSalle Shoppes had a total of 7 vendors. The first piece that sold was a sunshine yellow, hand-painted armoire to a great little couple who said it 'was exactly what they needed'. In August 2020, we'll be celebrating 9 whole years of chasing the thrill of providing our customers with the satisfaction of finding 'exactly what they needed', and once in a blue moon we get to hear about people finding things they didn't know they needed. It's been an amazing journey, with over 200 vendors having graced this building with their own small businesses, entrusting us to sell their goods for us, and many of them continuing onto bigger and better endeavors for their own business pursuits. We look forward to many more years to come. |
